Short Term Groups

  • Includes: Airport transfers by luxury buses, homestay, dorm or hotel, school shadowing, ESL, local tours of choice

United Cultural Exchange offers a variety of short-term programs for international high school and university students, teachers and for any type of overseas groups. The summer short-term programs provide hands-on and intensive academic, cultural experiences at local high schools and colleges.

 

Students in these programs work directly in the classrooms and go on academic and cultural excursions outside of the classrooms. Summer programs vary in length from two to eight weeks and take place during the summer months of May through August, which offer the best opportunity to experience life on these beautiful campuses.

Location:

Centrally located in Southern California.  We are near world-class surfing beaches, Disneyland®, Universal Studios Hollywood® and renowned museums. Our Centers are
located on the University of La Verne campus, Cal Poly Pomona, Mt. San Antonio College and numerous high schools in our area, which are all near a residential communities that provides a friendly, small-town atmosphere.

Activities:  

UCE plans a wide range of activities for students, from visits to local attractions, Center events, and more.


Housing:

Students are housed in on campus student residences, homestay or hotels.

English for Academic Purposes
• Fulfills the English language requirement
for admission to over 650 universities
and colleges, including the University
of La Verne
• 30 lessons per week


Semi-Intensive English Program
• Suitable for students not planning to
attend university
• 20 lessons per week

​

American Explorer Program
• Designed for tourists who would like
part-time English study
• 15 lessons per week


Program features:
• 12 proficiency levels from Beginner to
Masters levels
• Classes Monday through Friday
• Four-week sessions, with each session the
equivalent of one ELS proficiency level
• 13 start dates annually
