The UCEUS VIP Minnesota Program gives students the chance to experience real American life in a state known for friendly communities, excellent schools, and exciting opportunities. Minnesota is a place where students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow both academically and personally.
You’ll attend an accredited high school with strong academics, a variety of classes, and opportunities to get involved in everyday school life, making friends, joining activities, and becoming part of the community.
Minnesota is also home to the vibrant Twin Cities area, offering access to cultural events, entertainment, professional sports, and iconic destinations like the Mall of America. Combined with four distinct seasons, scenic landscapes, and modern communities, Minnesota delivers the perfect mix of energy, adventure, and authentic American living creating memories and friendships that last long after your exchange year ends.

Welcome Kick off event with fun activities and making new international friends.

Get up close with wildlife at the Como Zoo and Conservatory, take a behind-the-scenes look at state history with a visit to the Minnesota State Capitol, and hunt for deals on a shopping spree at outlet malls. Lace up for a fun roller skating outing and take in the magic of the Christmas Light Tour during the holiday season.

Feed your creative side at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, cheer on the Minnesota Twins at a professional baseball game, and scream your way through the rides at ValleyFair Amusement Park.

As a VIP Experience student, you’re never left out! Each month, you’ll enjoy curated activities designed just for you—whether it’s cheering at a local sporting event, celebrating holidays in style, or exploring new places on unforgettable excursions. Even if you’re the only student in your area, we make sure you get the full experience through personalized outings with your Local Coordinator or host family.
